St Margaret’s: 6th January – The Big Write 2020! Part 1

Welcome back after the Christmas and New Year break.

We hope you all had a wonderful time and we wish you a very Happy New Year.

Firstly, a very warm welcome to our returners and the families who are due to join Emerald, Sapphire and Ruby Room this term.

The children have returned to St Margaret’s refreshed from their break and raring to learn. We have enjoyed a range of activities this week from challenging our fine motor skills, having a car wash in the garden, building our own planes and exploring play dough.

The Big Write….

But we also let our creativity flow with The Big Write! The Big Write gives the opportunity for children to express their feelings, thoughts and emotions through mark making.

There were large sheets of paper taped to the floor and the children were able to use one or multiple colour pens to mark make whilst listening to classical music.

The children had the freedom to draw big or small; letters or words; people or places; and from their imagination or from memory.

Such lovely pictures and marks were created!

We look forward to a fun Spring Term full of learning opportunities and exploration.
